This Privacy Policy outlines how YOHO (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information provided when you use our website and mobile application as a customer or driver/delivery partner. This Policy is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and is also framed with regard to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and applicable rules made thereunder, as well as the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

By using our services, you agree and consent to the collection, transfer, use, storage, disclosure, and sharing of your information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
This Policy applies to YOHO Customer and YOHO Partner mobile applications and must be read together with our Partner Terms and Conditions and Shipping & Delivery Policy. If you operate a 3-Wheeler, also read our Partner Privacy Policy (3-Wheeler). This Policy forms part of, and is incorporated within, the Partner Terms and Conditions.

Your use of the Platform, and your acceptance of this Policy, constitutes your consent to the processing described herein for the purposes stated above. Where processing is based on consent (such as marketing communications or referral-contact sharing), that consent is sought separately and you may withdraw it at any time as described below, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal. Where processing is necessary for the performance of your Agreement with YOHO, for compliance with a legal obligation, or for other grounds recognized under the DPDP Act, YOHO may process your Personal Data without additional consent to the extent permitted by law.

We employ appropriate technical and organisational security measures, in line with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse of your data. These measures include, where appropriate, encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting internal access to Personal Data on a need-to-know basis, and periodic review of our security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and while we strive to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Certain third-party service providers engaged by YOHO (for example, cloud hosting or analytics providers) may process data on servers located outside India. Where such transfer occurs, YOHO takes reasonable steps to ensure that the recipient maintains a standard of protection consistent with this Policy and Applicable Law, including the DPDP Act and any rules or notifications issued by the Central Government restricting transfer to specific countries or territories.
Upon account deletion or a verified written request, we will delete your personal information except where retention is necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement of our rights. Withdrawal may limit or prevent your access to Services that require such data, including your ability to go online as a Partner. YOHO may use automated or algorithmic processes — for example, to assign orders to available Partners, calculate fares, or flag potentially fraudulent activity. Such processes are designed to operate fairly and transparently, and you may contact YOHO support if you have concerns regarding an outcome you believe resulted from an automated process, including an order assignment, fare calculation, or account restriction.
Where YOHO onboards a Pilot between 16 and 18 years of age in accordance with the Partner Terms and Conditions, we collect and process the minor's personal data only to the extent necessary for registration and Service delivery, along with the verified consent of a parent or legal guardian. Such data is handled with the same security safeguards described in this Policy, and access is restricted to what is operationally necessary. We do not knowingly collect personal data from any individual below 16 years of age other than as expressly permitted under this clause and the Partner Terms and Conditions, and any such data inadvertently collected will be deleted upon discovery.
We use cookies and similar technologies, including third-party analytics tools, to enhance user experience, analyse trends, remember preferences, and improve our services. Cookies may be session-based (deleted when you close the app/browser) or persistent (retained for a defined period). The Platform may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites, payment processors, or services. This Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of such third parties, and YOHO is not responsible for their content or data practices. In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to significantly affect your rights or interests, YOHO will take reasonable steps to notify you and the Data Protection Board of India, as required under the DPDP Act, and will take appropriate remedial measures to contain and address the incident.

This Policy is a part of, and incorporated within, the Partner Terms and Conditions. All capitalized terms used in this Policy but not defined herein shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the Partner Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency between this Policy and the Partner Terms and Conditions on a matter specifically relating to data protection, this Policy shall prevail to that limited extent.
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or Applicable Law. Material changes will be notified through the Platform, an in-app alert, or email to your registered address, generally with at least 14 days’ notice where practicable. Your continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. You should check this page periodically to stay informed of any changes.
